Oslo

Last night the ship was working a bit harder than normal, vibrating a bit under my feet. I tried to go out onto our balcony. The door would not open. Oh dear, I thought. This morrning i found out that the captain can push a switch and make all the doors to the balconies  locked. So I donot fall overboard. Not sure how I feel about this.

We arrived in Oslo at midday and left to do our own thing as soon as possible. Noel wanted some more denture glue so we walked to an apoteka (pharmacy (apothecary)) then to the wharf in front of the very imposing town hall , then a small ferry to a promontory 12 ish min ride away to the Norwegian Maritime Museum. We looked at pre Viking dugout and a replica of a Viking boat and other Viking stuff. The rest was made rather underwhelming collection of  stuff about how boats had been used in Norway.

We got back to the boat just before it started to rain.
